Hi!
Not a ton to report this month. As always, there’s some things happening in the background that have taken up most of my focus and energy that I shouldn’t mention here. With that caveat in place, here’s the update:
I worked on two secret social media-related projects this month, one of which I spent a few days on and immediately put down, the other of which I think will probably just trickle along in the background for a while. Definitely worth doing, but no concrete artifacts I can show off for those ones.
For real artifacts, though, I do have two things to show off — and they’re both Raycast extensions.
First, the Jitsi Meet Raycast extension I created was merged, and is now live in the Raycast “store.”
I also created a Raycast extension for Mobius Materials, so you can search for electronic components across our database, get information about each part, place orders, and sell your components, right at your fingertips. Raycast is great! You should use Raycast.

This month, I broke a seven-year streak and finally went to see a band perform live. The only shows I went to in Philly were either shows that I was playing at, or shows that I was merely walking past on the way to something else!
I saw Modest Mouse & The Flaming Lips perform on Brown’s Island. It was incredible — especially the visuals for the Lips, which I’d heard about before, but cannot be summarized in text, and have to be seen to be believed. Modest Mouse were really on as well — and it was cool to see how the band has evolved since the last time I saw them in June 2008. And, funny enough, the last show I saw before this one was also on Brown’s Island.

I read a ton this month. This month, I finished 4 books:
- The Way of Kings by Brandon Sanderson
- Words of Radiance by Brandon Sanderson
- The Trading Game: A Confession by Gary Stevenson
- Edgedancer by Brandon Sanderson
I’m currently giving Against a Dark Background by Iain M. Banks another shot. Out of the 31 books he wrote, this is one of the two I started and never finished; he has two other books on top of that which I haven’t yet attempted. The idea is that I need to get through these two before I’m done, so I should get to it! Here’s where I’m tracking those books.
