Tiny cool things

I’ve done one “tiny cool thing” every day this month. The rules I set for myself were pretty straight-forward:

  • I have to think it’s neat
  • It needs to be something I can hack together fairly quickly — 20 minutes is ideal
  • It can’t require ongoing maintenance
  • I must post about it

Why? I’m doing this with a secret purpose: I love it when I’m egged on by other people, when I’m instigated into working on something exciting by someone else. Some of the best projects I’ve worked on were because a friend took and idea and escalated it, and by the time we’re done, we’ve ended up with a really great tangible result and had a ton of fun along the way.

Similarly, I hope I can instigate other people as much as possible; by sharing the things I’m working on, I hope other people will get their ideas and run with them.
